Welcome to Loch Sport Primary Website

Loch Sport Primary School is a small rural school of 26 students established in 1985 and located on the western fringe of the township. Loch Sport is nestled between picturesque Coastal and National Parks along the Ninety Mile Beach, making the close proximity of the Gippsland Lakes system a valuable resource. All students currently attending the school live locally. The school is approximately 60km’s from the major township of Sale and other Primary Schools.

Loch Sport Primary has two module buildings and one additional building. These are set up as a three, four, five and six classroom and computer room, and Prep, one and two classroom and staffroom. An additional building houses the office, library and multi-purpose room.

Loch Sport Primary School wants each student to feel valued and to become an integral member of society.  Loch Sport Primary School prides itself on being an active member of both the local and broader educational community. In doing so, our school strives to develop and maintain strong links with community members and organisations that understand and assist with the positive growth of the students within our rural school.

The Loch Sport Primary School’s vision is for all students to achieve academic success within a stimulating environment whilst cultivating the values of:

Staffing consists of two full time teachers and a 0.6 teacher in specialist needs such as Numeracy, Literacy, Art, LOTE and Physical Education. The school has a 0.4 ES Administrative position and a full time ES Integration Aide.
The school is a committed member of the Sale Rural Schools Network which enables us to participate in combined camps, sporting activities, MARC van and other group days.  The school is now an active member of the Sale Innovations and Excellence Program with its classroom programs being consistent with other member schools. We are in close proximity to the Golf course, tennis club, boat club and RSL.
